For a collar, measure the circumference of your dog's neck and add about 2 cm for a comfortable fit. For a harness, measure the circumference of your dog's chest and refer to the manufacturer's size guide. Make sure the leash is long enough to allow comfortable walking while maintaining control.

The most durable materials are nylon, leather and reinforced fabrics. Nylon is lightweight and water-resistant, while leather offers an elegant look and great durability over time. Reinforced fabrics with strong stitching are also ideal for active dogs.

For nylon collars and harnesses, hand washing with lukewarm water and mild soap is recommended. Leather accessories should be cleaned with a damp cloth and treated with a specific leather product. Leashes can be wiped regularly to remove dirt and odors.

It's advisable to remove the collar or harness when your dog is at home to avoid skin irritation and allow the fur to breathe. Harnesses, in particular, should not be worn all the time.
